1. When the US president tried to trivialise Australias population: "I speak for 60000 dead" (1.38% of the population)- australian prime minister Billy Hughes in France at the conference at Versailles. US losses were 0.13% of their population. The conference became the treaty of Versailles which set terms of the peace, and founded the United Nations.

  2. That’s an interesting point. I’ve never even considered WHY Australia has a seat in the UN. I’ve just always accepted it as fact.

  3. NTA. “The standard you ignore is the standard you accept.” And your wife accepts that child molestation is ok.

  4. I advocated for it. It’s a game, why would I do the right thing? So boring lol. Literally nothing changes as every mission it has no effect. It’s so weird that in this game you never actually see any real consequences to your actions outside the mission. I expected everyone to be manipulated into loving Ryujin to the point where they rule all Neon. Or that everyone talks abt them in the street. But nop.

  5. Exactly. And in a game where the NG+ mechanic actually lets you play out different consequences, they didn’t do it.

  6. They don’t even follow NG+ logic when it comes to the amp since you get to keep it attached to your head.

  7. Yeah agree, but it’s a case of how the game mechanics are coded. It gives you a point in the Manipulation skill (top tier Social tree) for free, even if you haven’t unlocked it or even unlocked that tier. It’s also coded to change that skill to have a higher % chance. I’m guessing there were issues in coding to have the point/skill removed on NG+ if there were other skills spent, say you had spent 1 point in it, got the amp (which changed the % chance for the skill point you already purchased), then lost it through Unity

  8. If it continues: Throughout the day, everyone needs to take turns taking random things off her desk and from her drawers (leave her purse alone). Let’s see how well her rationalizing holds when other people do to her what she does to everyone else.

  9. How can you successfully outpost build when the skill perks on longer work in NG+?

  10. Man bought and paid for by the Chinese upset at man bought and paid for by the Russians. More news at five.

  11. Giving away money isn’t a solution it’s a band aid

  12. You know who else is losing all credibility? THE COURTS. They keep letting him go on without consequences. So until some court actually makes him feel some pain, they can suck it.

  13. My standing (and hopeful) prediction is that he will lose the election, and THEN the floodgates of consequences will come.

  14. I think this makes the most sense. Merchan's been very punctual for the trial sans today, so he obviously didn't want to throw him in jail if there was going to be a logistical problem with it.

  15. That does make sense, but if the Secret Service STILL haven’t come up with a plan in case he is detained, then they aren’t doing their job.

  16. The psychopath would be any player that kills Grandma

  17. TIL that my character is Chaotic Evil. First universe I sat down for a meal, and after she said her family said it was too dangerous to be out by herself, I kinda agreed, and shot her to prove the point.

  18. Quicker than just not interacting with her at all?

  19. Worst part was I forgot that I had constellation crew on board, and man were they pissed.

  20. Satan was the one that gave out knowledge for free after all.

  21. I want either an intergalactic conflict, either a resumed Colony War or Varunn invasion. New radiant PoI or can be just the old PoI reskin and repopulated with new enemies from the war campaign, new combat mechanic (please be Mech and Xenoweapon) and new space combat missions (raid the enemies Staryard, fuel station, infiltrate their fleet posting as a merchant ship or even act as an actual neutral merchant/mercenary serving both side X-Wing Allinace style)

  22. It doesn’t even need to be a full on resumption of the Colony Wars. They could do a big build up of tensions like the Cold War/Cuba Missile Crisis, where things are about to get REALLY out of hand and the whole quest line revolves around preventing that war kicking off.

  23. Another studio could pull this idea off, but with Bethesda it would probably be similar to the Ryujin missions (much walk, much talk) which many would find boring. With an open war even Bethesda could create something, well, not innovative, but at least exciting.

  24. Yeah I think you’re right. Bethesda would turn a good idea into a drawn out fetch quest.

  25. I read reports that Trump would cash 1 dollar checks sent to him.

  26. “Very frugal business man” is a polite way of saying that A Trump Never Pays His Debts

  27. The origins of his "short-fingered vulgarian" nickname that he despises came from being cheap. An inference to not being able to fish his wallet from his pocket when the bill came. Of course, Trump took it literally, which still cracks me up.

  28. That’s a common problem with narcissists. They are incapable of understanding metaphor, so he tends to take things literally.

  29. None. I hate building in games. Skyrim was cool because you could have a house, get married, adopt kids.

  30. Whatever system the trader is in. Other than that I'll be on my ship. Outposts aren't worth it.

  31. Interesting. Does the trader stay in the same place in that NG+ or does it move around mid universe? Don’t mind if the location changes each NG+, just hoping it stays put in each one.

  32. the 6 outposts that are linked to here each have another 3 outposts linked to them. Everything gets passed down the chain. I have switches connected to all my extractors and I just go turn the switch on for a few minutes when I'm running low on a material at my main outpost.

  33. Ahh thank you!! I’ve started doing this exact thing, and was worried I was going overboard putting switches on all the extractors so I can manage overflows. The number of extra red lines the switch cause is intense.

  34. Without the switches the main base gets overloaded and materials back up and clog everything up.

  35. I had also planned on having a single extractor fill a local stack of containers at that outpost not being exported anywhere, so that if a supply mission popped up, I could just travel to that outpost and send it without mucking up my main base stash

  36. Maybe I’m weird, but I don’t understand why proposals are supposed to be public? My proposal was an intimate and one on one thing, and I treasure that. A proposal of marriage is a life-changing event that takes you from being with a large group of people to being just two people. the fact that my proposal was just from my significant other, to me, was something that I thought was beautiful.

  37. Not to mention the fact that when done so publicly, it puts a greater pressure to say yes, as it would cause a massive scene to say no if you weren’t ready yet for whatever reason.

  38. The worst part to me is they had a reasonable in lore explanation for why their "cities" are smaller than villages; everyone died in the wars.

  39. Or, they all died from the collapse of Earth. How many people can you reasonably exodus from Earth with 1st Gen grav drives? There weren’t that many people to even fight the colony wars

  40. You need to remember that BILLIONS of people died with the collapse of Earth. There simply weren’t that many people to start with before the war. Now there are even less.

  41. Ahh I really do love the Negotiator. Always have one on me. I’m currently doing the NG+ runs for max powers and I have a Va’Ruun Inflictor and a Negotiator.

  42. It's even better when it has the weapon effect where it deals double damage to full health targets.

  43. Yeah I had that on my first NG+ run. I named it “The Judge”.

  44. It still works, but I gave up and didn’t realise I still had it on very hard, so I just left it there for the challenge.

  45. lol, I didn’t see what sub this was and got a little confused for a moment.

  46. NTA. Sorry you wasted so much time on this. Im sure it hurts, but if she wasn’t ready after six years, she was never going to be. Just be grateful a kid is not in the middle of this.

  47. Agree. I don’t understand why you can’t go to Kore Kinetics and pay a shit load of credits (for game balance vs doing your own research etc) to mod your weapons.
