1. Support for ripping all audio CDs into Apple Music/iTunes, like back in the High Sierra days.

  2. I am using Venetura, and I ripped some CD's using Apple's own old disky drive thing and that worked just fine.. Or do you mean something else?

  3. Pretty much every suggestion Iā€™ve read on here can be solved fairly easily by using Raycast.

  4. These are like my favourite flower plants. They are fun to look at and have beautiful purple flowers.

  5. Do you use iCloud Photos? You can then simply discard your previous library and set up a new one. Give it an overnight to download everything and you're golden.

  6. I can see why you would be hesitant to want to reinstall your system then! But that would definitely be the right way to go. But Iā€™d keep the old backups just in case.

  7. What does your indexing settings look like? Do you have anything ticked off in Settings > Siri and Spotlight > Search Results?

  8. You may be overdoing it. A backup shouldnā€™t last that much time. Besides, the way you are making backups means youā€™ll have a copy of the data, but you have no interface to view it (which is your iPhone. This is what you mention with the folders called 00, 0a, 0b etcā€¦). This looks fine I guess, but you cannot use this in any way.

  9. Yes I did back it up by connecting my iphone to my mac, I've just redirected the location where the backups are stored onto my hard drive. It should have done the same thing it would've done if I were to backup to my mac without the external drive. I've started it without the hard drive before (straight onto my macbook) and it also created those folders. I think the backup took so long because it was the first backup I've ever done with this phone and macbook + the storage is pretty much full (I had to free up a bit in order for the backup to actually start)

  10. Oh yeah, I get now what you mean I think, so you've been using the default sync feature that integrates with the Finder? This should get you the backups as a single file then, right? I forget what format this is stored in, but that is what the backup is supposed to look like. The way you now view these folders; you can't restore these back to an iPhone. You can only do that through the Sync utility in the Finder.

  11. You may consider this: is just your handwriting bad and do you have no problem at all forming sentences on a computer for example, or do you actually have trouble putting thoughts on paper? In other words, does your brain have trouble forming words as youā€™re writing?

  12. Try to see this as a new possibility. Would it be possible to take a cutting from your plant and try to make a new one out of it?

  13. As long as you're writing everything down in your notebooks, it's okay to lose your mind in them. ;)

  14. I'm still on Ventura. Everything works fine, and all plugins I have installed are working and compatible. I'm at a point where I'm installing Ventura's security updates, but not upgrading to Sonoma, simply because I need my laptop to work as best as it can. I don't want to risk upgrading for features that are nice, but otherwise useless for my daily workflow.

  15. Leuchtturm1917 Drehgriffel gel. I have a red, orange and yellow version šŸ¤

  16. I read you were homeschooled, but when I was teaching in middle school I found guys your age whose handwriting were less legible than this. You definitely need to write more and practice making shapes. It'll be so worth it.

  17. The updates to Notes was the best thing ever for me. With back linking and .pdf's now having thumbnails, I was able to drop EverNote.

  18. Interesting that you mention that. I've stepped away from using digital notes to paper notebooks, and can remember how badly I wanted to be able to backlink to other notes. I'm happy for you to be able to ditch Evernote. That app had such a fall from grace.

  19. Not a one. And because of it's inherent hinkiness with so many apps, I'm considering retro'ing back to Monterey or Ventura pretty soon.

  20. I'm currently running Ventura and I simply can't be bothered to upgrade, but I was curious about how other people used the new features, which is why I asked the question. But when it comes to the mentioned features such as widgets on desktop, wallpapers, etc etc, I don't feel like I'm missing out. Besides, Ventura still gets all the security and stability updates, and that's fine by me.

  21. Ignore the ones who say 'there's no problem ever & you must be doing it wrong'. I find a clear pattern with the memory-limited M1s.

  22. Interesting that you mention this! I find that these computers need restarting more often as well, and that they sometimes just have weird issues upon waking up and are gone after a restart, like the mouse being delayed (as in, multiple seconds, but that's a Logitech issue) or not registering keyboard commands or mouse clicks.

  23. I actually deleted my Microsoft AutoUpdate app so it wonā€™t constantly send ā€œUpdate errorā€ message when I have nothing to update on Office 2019ā€¦ šŸ˜‚

  24. I downloaded the Office-apps from the Mac App Store and itā€™s so annoying how often this app receives updates. And not small updates either: you have to download multiple gigs like every week or so. You know what Microsoft is like with their updates of anything. No wonder you are better off not updating for a while šŸ™ˆ

  25. You appreciate that you donā€™t have to update?

  26. I donā€™t mind using a version of Office that works fine

  27. I found that on my Mac Mini M2, some applications like VSTs failed to install. I just kept trying again and it worked eventually.

  28. probably gonna give it super powers and mutate its screen into a touch screen. *finally*

  29. You got an apple device from your school? Lucky!

  30. If you check iCloud settings on both devices, is the switch actually ticked to ā€˜onā€™ to sync?

  31. Personally, I do my reading in a Read-Later app, not an RSS app. I donā€™t expect any permanence from my RSS feeds - they come and go, ones with interesting titles get shared to the Read Later app.

  32. I remember having bought and used GoodLinks as well. Maybe I should use my RSS reader to share the links to Goodlinks to read them.

  33. The whole point of an RSS reader is so I donā€™t have to use my browser

  34. It should be possible, but depends on the keyboard youā€™re gonna get. If you get one that is compatible with VIA, you can use that app to change the keyboard layout exactly to your liking. If your keyboard doesnā€™t support it, you can use Karabiner Elements to specifically change your USB keyboard to do whatever you like.Ā

  35. My brother is as devout an atheist as I am christian. We often joke about it, but in our normal day to day interaction, he's far more vocal than I am. Just personality wise.

  36. Oh well, AI will still destroy us, but not in the way we imagined.
