1. Using webpack will get you outdated in 3 years.

  2. Did it? Webpack last version is from 2020, but did it go defunct?

  3. No, its account dependent, meaning they want to know what users are connected.

  4. They learn from the best (Facebook)

  5. It's really not. There's plenty of good WYSIWYG editors out there for code, hell the VB6 IDE was doing it better than Figma over 15 years ago now.

  6. Like saying the women punching holes for the 1st computers were doing better

  7. It's because it would pull the curtain back on exactly what you already realized....the hidden MMR and the rank were wildly far apart from one another. Activision was the PIONEER in using rankings and matchmaking for player retention purposes, all the things from rank decay et cetera were attempts to FOMO players into continuing to play the game to maintain their rank, while behind the scenes it would match you according to MMR regardless. Look up some of their patents for CoD where they wanted to put people who bought a OP gun with the fast pass or whatever into lobbies against noobs AND people that hadn't bought it, so that they dominate and feel good about their purchase, AND the noobs get stomped and think "I need to buy the OP gun" activision blizzard will ALWAYS use obfuscation of data for monetization.

  8. Excuse me for asking, but these are strong accusations, do you have any sources supporting it?

  9. https://patents.google.com/patent/US20160005270A1/en

  10. This is just evil. Hiding such things behind shiny rank graphics is just wrong. Thank you for this source!

  11. Tried all these, but did not work for me. Pixel 7a and GW6. Galaxy Wearable is stuck on startup animation.

  12. If you had done your research before commenting, you'd know that women have been legally allowed to drive in SA since 2018. Nowadays there's quite more women driving on the roads than men, as far as I've seen in Jeddah for the past 5 years

  13. In my case the problem was with the audio channels, Plex couldn't handle anything higher than 5.1.

  14. Lol it literally has Global in it's name

  15. Why are minimum wage advocates so damn stingy? If minimum wage works so great why not set it to like 500/hr and we can all be rich?

  16. The same reason we can't just print more bank notes and give them to the poor I'm afraid, economy is a complex thing.

  17. It's not a slippery slope fallacy. It's the logical conclusion of the argument.

  18. I don't know about slippery slope but this is a text book fallacy. Your blindness to it is astounding, as these kinds of fallacies are used to control group of people and their thoughts. What gives?

  19. Companies used to be willing to train on the job, but they found they could save money by outsourcing the costs to colleges. Why would a company pay money when their employees could be the ones to foot the bill?

  20. I don't think that is how the academia works

  21. So buying their way to the front of the line to Heaven? Serious question not trying to be sarcastic

  22. The fact that you have to say you're not being sarcastic says so much about this idiotic religion

  23. The German one differes from UK and US. For example the German „Dwight“ is good at his job but a nervous wreck and gets heckled all the time. At one point he even tries to commit suicide.

  24. That's not binning that's falling with style

  25. Everytime she says that I'm saying "EMBER PLEASE!"

  26. I wonder what Owen Wilson would have said..

  27. Funny because muslims got the inspiration from Byzantines who were - Orthodox Christians

  28. Religion is the worst drug in the world

  29. "No one knows what it means, but it's provocative … Gets the people going” — Jay-Z(?)

  30. I feel like flat orgs start falling down a bit when people want to advance beyond being an individual contributor. Leadership doesn't have to mean people management but when an org has no room for things like a technical leader who coordinates multiple teams, some people start to leave. FWIW I'm in the camp of thinking not all middle managers are worthless. Some orgs are large enough that pure people managers have a role but you don't need tons of them.

  31. You can be a leader without being a manager. I call it Captain

  32. I will be honest it is a lot easier to hide my goofing off WFH. No one gives a crap as long as my stuff gets delivered but I can much easier play video games between task or kill time between a meeting and no one knows nor do they give a crap. If I was in office that might look really bad.

  33. Programming is a creative job. Working in shifts or delivering code by the kilo won't get you anywhere..

  34. Digital is so much more convenient though, especially when smartphone cameras have come a long way.

  35. Both look nice tbh. Just not a big fan of the fence.

  36. In buenos you have to be a big fan of fences..

  37. It's so good I didn't even think these are not real flight instruments, and even after scrolling the comments I had a doubt
