1. I have both. Sweet Life and Panera are what come up the most.

  2. The library had 17% of its budget cut by the city, bigger than any other city department this year. There may be more cuts coming in the spring. They are at the most basic levels of staffing possible at the moment and are scraping by trying to figure out other ways to save time and money. It’s still the best place in Eugene, IMO. I just checked out a table top loom and books on starting a business. They do have a robust volunteer network if you want to help. You can also donate to Eugene Public Library Foundation or Friends of the Eugene Public Library to help with things. Self checkouts are great even when they had enough staff, why do you need a person scanning books for you?

  3. I didn't say that I needed them to scan books for me... Why does my question on human interaction mean that I should volunteer, donate, etc to where I am already paying taxes to go to a place I love and support.

  4. I think that's the issue. Is that they're expecting and wanting more. Which simply isn't what library staff or cashiers for that matter.

  5. There's also the issue of age and mobility. "I'm gonna have to walk" is a bigger deal when it's painful.

  6. I definitely don't want to negate this issue. This FIL is older but appears to me to be in shape that walking an extra bit would be something that he says he wants to do more of.... I will have to ask him next time

  7. Let's just say he enjoys human interaction

  8. Thank you, I didn't know series 4 was coming!

  9. Exactly. It's an old STEEL bridge. The bridge will long outlast that paint.

  10. West Coast game is in the same arena so they need time to clear it out between games. But yes huge oversight by NBA trying to pump the IST and scheduling a semi-final game at 4pm on a Thursday...

  11. 2 pm on the west coast, I’m taking off work!

  12. Wish I could. I have to be in court at 5pm tonight. "Sorry your Honor, basketball is on!" ..... not really an option.

  13. Something is wrong with our judicial system if we can ask for extensions In circumstances such as these… I’m not a lawyer but I play one on the bucks

  14. He’s very good blocker. At least he was I haven’t watched him at all this year

  15. If you mean in terms of defending the passes thrown to him, he's outstanding

  16. Titanium can’t contract or expand the way a good hamstring is supposed to though, we need some high end rubber product in there instead

  17. Thanks for the input! I am at the library every other day sometimes. Doesn’t feel like a place to social get together?

  18. I go to their events. My bad for not specifying

  20. Brother, you can’t come in here with common sense…. It’s Reddit.

  21. Having the words “Saw killer” (with a capital ‘s’ no less) together in the OP under a thread title about based on a non-fiction book threw me for a loop here.

  22. Good catch 300 character count always getting me

  23. Adison studies applied economics and has classes in Ag hall, next to the friend Aguilar and she likes to drink agua

  24. Those teams mentioned even if not great the rivalry is intriguing

  25. For the Heartland trophy!? Who doesn't want to see some amazing defense and large, rural men push around each other for short gains and big losses?

  26. A lot of students seem to run in the bike lane on 13th Ave when school is in session. My guess is that this is what the cyclist is talking about.

  27. You know what they say about assumptions...
