Thanks guys - you're right this is all new to me. Will try port forwarding over the weekend and let you know the results

I had to port forward my server to fix this problem. I opened the port 32400 and designated that as my in/out port in my router. Now I can access the server remotely without plex servers as an intermediary

Thanks - I will try this. No idea how to port forward but will look it up on internet.
